Lion statue


Not far from where I took yesterday's photo, at the Palast-Garten (palace garden), the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Trier is guarded by this ferocious lion.

The museum itself is currently preparing for a big (and they mean big) exhibition on Emperor Constantine (who once resided in Trier for a few years and had the Kaiserthermen built) in 2007.
