Photographs of Trier (Trèves), Germany's oldest city (2,000+ years).

Founded over 2,000 years ago as part of the Roman Empire, Trier, too, can't help but succumb to today's great empire, the fast food industry! ;)

To its credit, though, this McDonald's on Hauptmarkt, once the center of the city, is surprisingly low-key. When you don't know it's there, chances are that you won't even notice it.

I'll be in Paris for the weekend, so I don't know if I will be able to go online and post a photo on Saturday.
