Photographs of Trier (Trèves), Germany's oldest city (2,000+ years).

The tower-like building in the center of this photo, taken from Markusberg is the Hochbunker Augustinerhof (link in German), a bunker that was rushed into building at the end of World War II but luckily never needed (or finished, you can see that the roof has never been completed).

If you look carefully, you can also see parts of the Kaiserthermen-ruins to the right of the bunker and the vinyards on Petrisberg in the background.
