The Wait is Over!

Have you, like this dog, been sitting at your window every day for months, waiting for word on the return of Trier Daily Photo?

No? Well, looking at the photo again, the little fella does sport more of a "Yeah, I could go outside for a walk... but it's nice in here, too!"-attitude. Or maybe he spotted another one of his kind down on the street and wonders just where he's seen him before.

Dogs can be hard to read sometimes. After all, they're only human. What do you think he's thinking?

  1. I love the Beagle Hound dogs. We have had one, a long time ago. I am also afraid this one might fall out of the window and get hurt or killed. I am surprised the owner lets the window open.

  2. Just caught you on the portal.

    Good to see you back.

Is your old site with all its archives going to remain live?

  3. Hi and welcome back! Love the dog!

I don't know if this is helpful for debugging purposes, but the photo and the text run into each other on my Firefox on Mac OS 10.4

  4. Hi Nebel,
    Welcome back!

  5. @abe: At first I was afraid he might fall, too, but now I have seen him up there many times, so I think he knows what he's doing. (Or she, naturally.)

@gerald: Yes, all the old archives will remain online and I'll add links to them soon.

@z: Thank you for telling me! I think I have fixed this problem now, but please tell me if otherwise!

@everybody: Thanks for welcoming me back! :)

  7. Welcome back! Love the doggy photo. He's just watching and waiting. Passing the day, enjoying life, interested...

  8. Nebel, welcome back. We missed you!

I really like to know why you prefer the new blogger over wordpress. What features of the new system you think are better than wordpress? I really would like to know because remember we discuss the switch from blogger to wordpress last year in the forums and there was (and there still is in my part) that the independent wordpress was superior in all aspects to the free, slow, bug-ridden and crippled blogger.

  9. P.S. I just thought I let you know that La Antigua Guatemala Daily Photo is counting down to the ONE YEAR anniversary. Please come by and help me cut the cake and blow the ONE candle. Everyone is welcome and expected for the big party.

  10. Rudy, I have a really short answer to the Blogger vs. WordPress thing: I wanted the photos to be bigger, and I couldn't get that to work on WP. That's all.

  11. Nebel, all you have to do is find a template which you really like and that has a wide content area. Or once you have found the theme you like, all you have to do is edit the style.css where you find the width of the container or content div, depends in your theme to a wider size. Obviously, you have to upload your photos larger so you can publish them at a bigger size.

Please, let me know if you need help on that, I will be very happy to share what I know.
