Zum Römer 1

Some old-style lettering on an address sign. If I didn't see it in context, I don't think I'd recognize the old letter "Z"!


  1. Yes, that is a Z. I recognize it as a fancy black letter style. I used to write books about letter forms but that was ages ago. Nice lettering.

  2. When I was learning German at school (a year or two ago now) I never could read this style of script. Now, having lived next door to D for a few years, I don't have the same trouble.
